Cloud privacy policy
This policy applies to Mencarii-hosted LiveBooks cloud services (for example account sign-in, subscription billing, Plaid-based bank data sync, and related APIs). It does not replace the Desktop notice for the open-source app running locally. Last updated: April 24, 2026.
What we process
Depending on features you use, we may process:
- Account and billing — email address, name as you provide it, subscription status, and payment-related records processed by our payment provider.
- Plaid and bank data — when you connect a financial institution through Plaid, we receive and store data Plaid makes available (for example access tokens or equivalent credentials, institution identifiers, account metadata, and transaction payloads) as needed to provide sync, review, and support. You initiate linking in the product; you can revoke access through flows we provide and through your financial institution or Plaid where applicable.
- Operational logs — limited technical logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We aim to minimize sensitive content in logs.
Subprocessors and partners
We use service providers to run the service, including for example Plaid (financial data connectivity), payment processing, cloud hosting, databases, and email. Their use of data is governed by their terms and privacy policies as well as our agreements with them. Plaid’s disclosures for end users are described at plaid.com/legal.
Why we process data
To provide and improve the hosted service, authenticate users, process payments, deliver bank sync you request, comply with law, and protect the security and integrity of the platform.
Retention
We retain hosted data as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of certain hosted personal data subject to legal exceptions; contact us using the email below.
Sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
