Desktop notice
This notice describes the LiveBooks desktop application you run on your own computer (including builds from open-source code). It is not a substitute for legal advice.
Local-first
Your books and ledger data stay on your device unless you choose to copy or export them. Core bookkeeping does not require an internet connection.
No product analytics in the OSS path
The open-source desktop stack is intended to operate without embedded product analytics or telemetry for normal local use. This marketing site may still use cookies or analytics as described under Site privacy.
Optional network features
If you enable optional features that use the network (for example LiveBooks Pro with bank feeds, sign-in to Mencarii-hosted services, or downloading installers from a vendor), data may be processed on servers and by subprocessors as described in Cloud privacy.
Canonical copy
The same substance lives in the repository as DESKTOP_NOTICE.md for developers who start from GitHub.
