Cloud terms of service
These terms apply to your use of Mencarii-hosted LiveBooks cloud services (hosted APIs, authentication, billing, Plaid-backed features, and related web surfaces we operate). They do not govern your use of the open-source desktop alone on your device — see LICENSE for software licensing. Last updated: April 24, 2026.
Eligibility and account
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including probing, scraping, or overloading systems without permission; attempting unauthorized access to data or accounts; or using the service in violation of law or third-party rights.
Subscriptions and changes
Paid features, prices, and availability may change with reasonable notice where required. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of hosted features.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to hosted services for material breach, risk to security or users, or extended non-payment. You may stop using hosted services at any time. Provisions that reasonably should survive (for example limitations of liability, governing law) survive termination.
Open source and hosted service
The LiveBooks desktop stack may be available under open-source licenses. That does not grant a right to use Mencarii’s production servers, credentials, or paid hosted capacity without a valid account and these terms. You may not use self-built software to circumvent billing, quotas, or security controls for our hosted environment.
Disclaimers
Hosted services and financial sync are provided as-is to the extent permitted by law. Automated categorization and imports may be wrong; you remain responsible for your books and tax positions. Nothing on this page is tax or legal advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mencarii’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to the hosted services is limited to the greater of amounts you paid for the hosted service in the twelve months before the claim or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent allowed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Mencarii operates, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory consumer protection law in your country says otherwise.
